What Happened Recently

Hey, everybody. It's been awhile since I last posted here. Recently the workload of form 4 has been pushing me to my working limits (which is very little) and the time in which I should be updating my blog was filled with the time in which I am needed to do my work. And I am lazy, so there.

Ok, let's start with what I said last post. You do remember don't you? Yes, you're right! A caterpanzee! A group consisting of Jonathan, Bryan, Khai Xiang and me have rushed and crapped out some weird-ass drawn out worm/snake/dragon/eel thing we decided to call a caterpanzee. We decided it would be sort of an apex predator when teacher said it had to be a person.

By that time we were pretty much screwed.

But we had no choice, we had to present it in front of the whole class how this pack hunter--err, civilized alien--moves, what he eats, his life cycle and such. But I'm going to reduce it back to creature level. That's right, evil me.

Anyways, the caterpanzee grows up to 50 meters 5 meters in length. It is a carnivore herbivore omnivore that feeds on mostly everything. It thrives on the planet Braxis where trees are able to run and escape from predators. However, unlike most herbivores, a caterpanzee maintains a symbiotic and prey-predator relationship with a tree.

A caterpanzee has nimble legs which allows it to climb up trees and scale walls. The sharp end of the claw can also be used to pin down running trees in order to prevent its escape. The caterpanzee also lives up in trees, where its green colored carapace helps it blend in with its surroundings.

Due to its unique diet, the caterpanzee has a set of powerful jaws as well as venomous saliva to help in quickly immobilizing prey. While strong, powerful, agile and quick, the caterpanzee is not without enemies. It has sharp barbs on its back to help protect it against predators, and most carnivores foolish enough to eat this creature will find itself wishing it didn't as the caterpanzee will create a chain reaction within its body to explode and send its spikes flying in all directions, inside the predator's mouth of course.

However, some even larger and more dangerous animals, the brontofrog, the frogasaurus and the frotoadestroyer (Ok, I made the last one up. Just the last one), have special enzymes in their saliva to counteract the chain reaction. Bye bye catrepanzee.

While they are not intelligent, caterpanzees are cunning and sly, often hunting in packs to bring down large prey. They live a short 20 year life and while not very social, they communicate with various growls and hisses. At least they turn into a beautiful butterfly once they die of old age...

Yes, yes random much, but I ran out of writing material.

Next, there was a Leo Installation last Saturday (23/7/2011) which I attended. I was in charge with Food and Beverages (Bryan and me) as well as security (Ian Zhan forced me in), so I had to go early. I helped in things like moving and arranging chair and so on, but I was actually really free.

I stole this actually. What, it's shiny!

Whatchu looking at?

We get to watch the various performances and the new Leos being installed as well as the upcoming B.O.Ds (Board of directors) go on stage. Then it was time to take the food.

The Leos doing their pledge.

Bromance!

One of the Lions that attended the installation.

Being in charge of Food and Beverages means that Bryan and I have to directly oversee the entire operation and make sure the food gets handled properly. Along with the help of several buff and strong Leos, we managed to bring the food to the hall without any incident. We had to arrange the tables for the VIPs (Tell me you know this...) and set up the food placement.

And for hygiene purposes, we couldn't let the Leos take the drinks themselves (It was in a large tub/pail/tall and cylindrical pot/flower vase) so I had to be in charge of serving the drinks. Oh boy. There were at least more than 50 Leos and they come for refills all the time. My hand was aching by the time they were done. I ain't complaining, as I find that the installation was a pretty big success, aside from the point that most of the food that we ordered were wasted.

Me and my good friend Jia En.

I caught a ghost on cam.

Now I await at home, waiting for my doomsday aka the next Leo committee meeting. I wonder what will Puan Chung say after seeing the mountain of leftovers. At least Bryan will die with me.

On a side note, I really miss my friend in Australia, Jarren. I didn't get to talk to him much recently, due to my workload and GAMES! But I do hope he is coping well in Australia and making some new friends.

It was his birthday recently, 29th of July. Although I didn't get to celebrate with him, I saw that he had loads of fun with his family at Australia through Facebook. Ah, what wonders does the internet bring. I hope that we'll always keep in touch.

P.S: My camera isn't the best, so the quality aren't what you'd really find as nice. I hope you don't mind!

Expressing Imagination

I believe that all humans are born with imagination, and a vast one at that. There is no limit to it, for it is within our minds that we are able to create our own world filled with the funniest and most creative (and sometimes obscene?) things, from flying trees to sugars that attack people.

Seriously though, everybody can use their mind to think of something that doesn't exist. Namely things like a caterpanzee. Don't know what's that? Use your imagination. Use it wisely as well: create a world of wonders and amazement, a world filled with life, fun and obscene things. Err, I mean creative things. So, here's a nice little spot for you to imagine something from the deepest darkest crevice of your mind:

So, how did it go? Had fun staring at a blank area for over 10 seconds? Now before you start getting angry, remember that I am doing this for your own good. Release stress a little. Think of a world filled with rainbows and unicorns and flying saucers with OHMYGOD A DEATH LASER ANNIHILATING EVERYTHING IN ITS PATH!

Sorry, got a little sidetracked there.

Anyways, hope those of you peeps who are really stressed and pressured (like me) have released their pent up steam. Enjoy. Oh, and if I do get the chance, I'll show you what we did in class: a real life caterpanzee!

Times Sure Flies

Sigh, I can't believe 2 weeks have just past like that. Before my good friend Jarren came back, I was moaning about how slow time moves, and counting down every single day was one of the most torturing things to do.

Well, when he came back, I apparently got my wish and time seemed to zip past me. Let's start from the beginning then. On 9/7/11, Jarren's mum and brother brought me along to the airport to fetch Jarren, his dad and Jomei, his sister (Really annoying one, at that).

I was really happy to see him, and I am sure he was happy to see me too. Of course, we started talking in the car all the way back to the condo. Needless to say, Jarren's mum wasn't pleased. There were many things that we planned to do, and swimming was one of them! (There was a swimming pool at the condo, and it looked pretty. Not to mention that there was a waterfall and an extremely deep kid's pool which sorta reached my ankle)

However, I had made plans beforehand. Before Jarren came back, I already booked tickets to the awesome, totally spectacular, on-demand Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon! At first, it was just Jarren, Jomei, Shyue Chyn, Yi Yang and me. Then Yi Yang (dum dum dum) brought a new group of friends dubbed "Yang's Army". Well the company wasn't really a problem, but the money was. Apparently after collecting money from everyone, I was still RM 1.50 short. Which was weird, considering that there was actually no way I could be RM 1.50 less. So I told them one of them must pay up, and alas Yi Yang had to do it.

This is part of Yang's Army

During the One Utama, Transformers trip, we also went to the arcade. It was extremely noisy there, and everyone had their turn playing all sorts of games. There was a random dude who was very good at the drum games that we were also keen on trying. Of course, we didn't even reach 1/10 of his skill level.

Besides that, me and Shyue Chyn also played an arcade game which involved shooting giant man-eating spiders, flies and dragonflies. Shyue Chyn was extremely hilarious, and I will let the video below describe it by itself. Well, it involved him screaming and me shouting.

After that, we ate crap load of fries from McDonald. It was a nightmare.

This is the first of many waves of fries.

However, on that weekend, disaster struck. Jarren had to go to Kuantan to eat durian, see dogs and eat wet kuay teow. I was stuck at home playing computer, and going out to a trip with my school friends and watching Mr Popper's Penguins.

Time passed really fast when Jarren was here. I was really sad to see him go back, but with the technology nowadays, I am sure that we'll not lose contact. And anyways, he will be back by this October. I just hope that he will make some good friends there in Australia. It's a tough country there. With the frozen snow and chilling ice. Just like Russia.

Jarren, me and Yi Yang.

I Shall Postpone the Kuala Selangor Trip Article

Meh, enough said. I was desperately busy the last few weeks and I do not have the time or will to type about the Kuala Selangor trip. It is long, that I can say confidently. There are a ton of pictures, and I would like to talk in detail about everything on the trip.

After all, we went to many places, and we did a lot of stuff there. OK, so I am lazy to write it, but gimme a break! I just finished like 3 projects...

SLOTH RULES!

I Would Like to Apologize

I'm so sorry to say that I haven't posted about my Kuala Selangor Trip. It was fun and yes, I took lots of pictures, but with the projects and work from school I found myself barely having the time to work and play. So for those wondering why I haven't posted it, here's the reason.

Anyway, I assure you that it shall be done during the weekend and I hope you guys can be a little patient with me. Thank you.
